TapyourMac.Starttalking.

TapMac feels a tap on your MacBook and turns it into an action. Dictate a message, fix your writing or paste from your history, without learning a single shortcut.

Try it: click Tappy once, twice or three times.

How it works

One, two, three taps.

Each tap count runs an action you choose. Here is a setup we like.

Are we still on for Thursday? And who has the slides?
Message

One tap

Talk instead of typing.

Tap near the trackpad and start speaking. Your words appear in whatever app you're using. Tap again to send.

Speech is transcribed on your Mac. Your audio never leaves it.

Two taps

Fix what you wrote.

Select some text and tap twice. Explain it, fix the grammar, rephrase it or summarize it, then copy the result or replace the original.

Powered by Apple Intelligence. Requires macOS 26.

Three taps

Paste what you copied earlier.

Everything you copied recently, three taps away: text, links, images and files. Pick one and press Return.

Smart modes

It adapts to what you're doing.

On a call, one tap mutes or unmutes you. Watching a video, one tap plays or pauses. Afterwards your taps go back to normal.

Love. One tap. He likes those.

Meet Tappy

He never says a word. He doesn't have to.

Tappy lives in your menu bar and in every popup. One look tells you a tap landed, TapMac is listening, or the job is done.

Features

Small app. Thoughtful details.

Choose what each tap does

Each tap count runs one action, and you decide which: voice typing, AI text actions, clipboard history or your AI chat.

  • Type with voice
  • Fix or explain text
  • Open AI chat

Send hands-free

The tap that ends your dictation can also press Return, so your message is sent without touching the keyboard.

DeskStandLap

A light tap is plenty

Tell TapMac whether your MacBook is on a desk, a stand or your lap, and it adjusts how it listens for taps.

fn

No tap sensor? Use Fn

On Macs that can't feel a tap, the Fn key does the same job. Press it once, twice or three times.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Which Macs does it work on?

Feeling taps needs a MacBook with Apple silicon. On other Macs you press the Fn key instead of tapping.

Do the AI text actions work on every Mac?

They use Apple Intelligence, so they need macOS 26 and a Mac that supports it. Everything else works without it.

How do I unlock it after buying?

Open TapMac, go to Settings, then License, and paste the key from your email.

Can I move it to a new Mac?

Yes. A key works on up to 3 Macs. To free one up, open Settings, then License, and choose Deactivate on the old Mac.

Can I try it before paying?

There is no free trial. Buy it, and if it isn't for you, ask within 3 days and you get your money back. See the refund policy.

Does it send my voice anywhere?

No. Speech is turned into text on your Mac. See the privacy page for the few times TapMac uses the internet.

Teach your Mac a new trick.

Tap it, and things happen.
